Question 7: PROGRESS WE HAVE MADE SINCE PRELIMINARY TASK TO OUR FINAL PRODUCTION


Broke the 180 degree rule. Furthermore, we spent too much time preparing for the prelim.
WE TOOK TOO LONG IN COMPLETING AND PUBLISHING CERTAIN OF THE PRE-PRODUCTION (i.e. STILL FRAME ANALYSIS AND PROGRAMS THAT GIVE INSIGHT TO THRILLER).
WE DECIDED TO INTERVIEW MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC. WE REALISED THAT THE ELDERLY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN THE GENRE OF THRILLER, WHICH COST US SO MUCH TIME TO FINISH.
WE TOOK TOO LONG IN COMPLETING THE STORYBOARD AND MISE-EN-SCENE, WHICH SLOWED DOWN OUR FILMING TIME.
WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE UNPREDICTABLE. SECONDLY, WE WERE HAVING DIFFICULTIES OF STOPPING PEOPLE FROM INTERFERRING WITH THE SCENE. IN ADDITION, THE DSLR KEPT RUNNING OUT OF BATTERY AND DELAYED OUR FILMING TIME.
SOME SHOTS WERE HARDER TO EDIT TOGETHER. FURTHERMORE, SOME SHOTES WERE HARDER TO DEMONSTRATE CONTINUATIY THAN OTHERS.
Preliminary task
Match on action and shot reverse shot were followed correctly. prelim task was also completed and we planned what we were going to do before filming.
Website had a thrilleresque theme and we had the correct headings/tabs to present the theme and our work.
WE ATTRACTED THE YOUNGER GENERATION AND WE CAME TO A CONCLUSION THAT OUR TARGET AUDIENCE WOULD BE THE YOUNGER PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, WE MANAGED TO FIND A SUITABLE LOCATION FOR OUR OPENING.
WE MANAGED TO CONCLUDE OF WHAT ANGLES WE WERE USING AND WHERE THE CAMERA WOULD BE PLACED IN OUR CHOSEN LOCATION. ALSO, WE COMPLETED EVERY PRE-PRODUCTION PLANNING.
WE FILMED OUR OPENING WITH A DSLR SO THAT IT WOULD BE PORTRAYED IN HIGH QUALITY , WHICH MAKES IT LOOK PRESENTABLE AND REALISTIC. WE USED MANY DIFFERENT ANGLES AND INCORPORATED THE 3 RULES CORRECTLY.
MATCH ON ACTION WAS DEMONSTRATED AT A GOOD STANDARD. ALSO, WE WERE ABLE TO EDIT THE FOOTAGE WHILST MAINTAINING THE STORY LINE.
